On 9th November, we held a joint "Diwali & Eid Celebration" for 30 adults & 30 children.
One of the ladies called Nasreen provided Mendi (The wonderful art of creative body painting)....for many of the attendees at the event!

Home-Start hired a local venue & also provided door to door transportation to the event, free of charge!
The families all brought along a favourite dish & refreshments to share!
We provided entertainment and offered face painting for all the children who attended.

"Eid" is the Islamic Feast and is celebrated each year, after a month of fasting during Ramadan.
"Diwali" is the festival of "Sound & Light" celebrated during November each year, this is a tradition within both the Hindu and Sikh Religions.

The families all had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending time together integrating with their young children!
We hope to hold this event, every year!
